Job Description:

This position will maintain in-depth knowledge to interpret and provide guidance on federal immigration regulations pertaining to international students and scholars. The position independently advises and serves as a liaison with students, scholars, as well as academic and administrative departments regarding immigration status and overall immigration strategy. It serves as a co-lead support and resource for staff, faculty, and administration on scholar-based immigration and intercultural issues. This position serves as a liaison with outside legal counsel and works directly with campus departments and international scholars seeking to come to Kansas State University under the following visa types: J-1, H-1B, TN, E-3, O, and U.S. permanent residency. This position ensures compliance with mandatory health insurance requirements for the J-1 Scholar Program as set forth by the U.S. Department of State, as well as health insurance requirements for F-1 and J-1 students in accordance with Kansas Board of Regents policy.
