Job Description:

This role involves real estate accounting, monthly close processes, balance sheet and income statement analysis, and stakeholder support. It offers opportunities for skill development, cross-team collaboration, and career growth within Citi’s highly global organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Establish and participate in the month-end close process for Real Estate Services (RES) managed segment for International (Global excluding NAM) geography
  • Participate in Balance Sheet and Income Statement analysis for International RES segment
  • Assume Account Ownership as part of the eRecon balance sheet reconciliation process for International RES specific accounts
  • Participate in the balance sheet reconciliation process to identify and resolve breaks covering International RES segment
  • Understand and advise on real estate related accounting
  • Act as a back-up for Lease Accounting Reviewer
  • Review and advise on Initiative Expenditure Proposal (IEP) specific to International RES segment
  • Support various regional and in-country stakeholders on inquiries
  • Foster a robust Risk and Control culture by understanding Citi’s approach to managing risk

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other Office products
  • Fluent English language knowledge. Additional language is an advantage
  • In-depth understanding of Accounting and Finance principles within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area
  • Knowledge of real estate industry and related accounting
  • 5-8 years of similar professional experience, preferably within a cross-cultural team environment in a Controllership organization
