Job Description:

As a Non-US Accredited Foreign Graduate, you will complete your required US Internship hours to develop your knowledge, skills, and abilities as a pharmacist. You will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in a retail pharmacy setting, focusing on patient safety, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and other pharmacy operations. You will complete a curated learning plan and prepare to complete Pharmacist licensure exams within 120 days of completing internship hours. Responsibilities include counseling patients, processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service.

Job Responsibility:

Greet each customer in a courteous and professional manner
Assist pharmacy and front store customers with their questions and concerns
Answer telephone with a warm and friendly greeting
Remove obstacles to make customers’ experiences easier
Perform approved register transactions
Maintain customer/patient confidentiality according to HIPAA and company standards
Comply with all federal and state laws, rules, and regulations
Adhere to CVS workflow and ensure standards are maintained
Process prescriptions including translation of SIG codes, counting and measuring drugs, capping and labeling prescriptions
Resolve third party rejections
Perform all prescription pick-up procedures
Maintain in-stock by ensuring all inventory management policies are followed
Support supervising pharmacist in dispensing drugs and monitoring compliance
Counsel customers under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Communicate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal care
Support maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy department
Implement the training and development of Pharmacy Support Staff
Complete all required training programs

Requirements:

High School Diploma or General Equivalent Development (GED)
Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent Pharmacist degree from a Non-US accredited school of pharmacy
active Pharmacy Intern license in state where district is located
0 to 3 years of related work experience
Foreign Graduate from a Non-US Accredited college or school of pharmacy
Pharmacist licensure in the state within 120 days of completion of US Intern hours
Regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
Completion of all required training and licensure
Ability to lift and exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally
