Job Description

The International Legal Counsel provides expert legal and contractual support to Randstad Enterprise Group, focusing primarily on the French market. This role serves as the dedicated in-house counsel for the E-FLEX platform, manages the end-to-end lifecycle of national and multinational client contracts, and ensures corporate compliance across procurement, data protection, and information security.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and negotiate local and international client contracts, specifically focusing on service schedules, SLAs, and fee structures
  • Advise on legal and commercial risk decisions within contracts by providing clear options and strategic recommendations to stakeholders
  • Oversee contract interpretation and handle operational inquiries for all active accounts within France and abroad
  • Lead international negotiations and manage internal approval processes, including the preparation of management summaries regarding contractual risks
  • Supervise procurement activities and provide advice to the Enterprise Procurement Team on local legislative requirements
  • Manage data protection compliance and privacy notices, including GDPR requirements, OneTrust assessments, and the Register of Processing in connection with E-FLEX
  • Develop a specialized area of law within the team, such as employment law or licensing, to serve as a subject matter expert
  • Maintain a repository of legal templates and supporting documentation to ensure consistent performance expectations
  • Support the Enterprise Privacy and Information Security teams on local issues and maintain compliance with information barriers and competition laws
  • Provide regular training to operational teams and assist with the translation and implementation of global policies

Requirements

  • Provide a qualified legal background with 3–5+ years of post-qualification experience in commercial and contract law, supported by specific, verifiable references
  • Deliver specialized international administrative support and lead contract negotiations for local, regional, and global commercial clients
  • Apply a working knowledge of employment law and staffing services to provide daily operational legal advice to internal account teams
  • Maintain a mandatory minimum level of experience working within the French legal system to advise on local issues independently
  • Act as the primary legal point of contact for French operations while working autonomously from a remote location in France or nearby regions
  • Demonstrate fluency in French and professional proficiency in English to draft and negotiate complex legal documents confidently
  • Use prior international exposure to collaborate effectively with a diverse European legal team and various local counsels
  • Develop a deep understanding of commercial business acumen, including the ability to challenge pricing and recognize potential tax matters
  • Balance legal perfection with business speed to meet the fast-paced operational needs of a sales-led organization
