Job Description

I’m partnering with a high-growth, internationally operating business to appoint an International Financial Controller into their Group Finance team. This is a pivotal leadership role, offering real ownership across a complex, multi-entity global structure. Based in London, you’ll take responsibility for financial control and reporting across 40+ international entities, playing a key role in strengthening governance, driving consistency, and supporting the business’s continued global expansion. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, commercially minded finance leader who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment and working closely with senior stakeholders.

Job Responsibility

  • Owning the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for international entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Consolidating multi-jurisdictional results in line with Group accounting policies and IFRS
  • Supporting Group consolidated accounts and audit processes
  • Ensuring statutory compliance, local filings, and audit delivery across all regions
  • Acting as a key point of contact for external auditors and advisors
  • Reviewing and challenging management accounts and balance sheet integrity
  • Driving process improvement, automation, and consistency across accounting practices
  • Supporting ERP and reporting system implementation and optimisation
  • Partnering with and mentoring local finance teams internationally
  • Supporting the Group Financial Controller on strategic and transformation projects

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA) from the big 4
  • 5+ years’ post-qualification experience within an international, multi-entity environment
  • Strong background in audit, consolidation, and statutory reporting
  • Deep understanding of IFRS and interpreting new accounting standards
  • Proven experience managing finance operations across multiple jurisdictions
  • Confident leader with the ability to influence across geographies and seniority levels
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working at pace
