International and Indigenous languages elementary program language instructor

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Continuing Education School, the International & Indigenous Languages Instructor is responsible for the delivery of the Board’s International & Indigenous Languages program in the one of the following languages, Korean, Tamil, Spanish, Russian, Hebrew and Portuguese

• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalency
• Demonstrated experience in working with children in a learning environment
• Proven ability to work in both a cooperative and independent environment
• Ensuring a positive and safe learning environment for all students, staff and members of the public
• Be responsible for following the curriculum as well as making lesson plans, planning activities for children
• May include a minimum of two events to showcase the students’ international language skills for the parents (Christmas and year end)
• Attending all necessary virtual meetings as they relate to the program
• Effective interpersonal and leadership skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated proficiency with computers
• If travel within the Board’s jurisdiction is required, candidates must have access to transportation

First Aid Certification would be an asset
