Job Description

An industry leader and large-scale national distributor is currently seeking a rare gem to fill a permanent Counter Clerk position in Longueuil. Are you looking for a dynamic role that combines warehouse action with human contact serving a clientele of entrepreneurs? Under the supervision of an accessible, collaboration-oriented sales manager, you will begin your journey by mastering product logistics before taking on an advisory and customer service role. Job Responsibility

  • Training period: Prepare orders, receive, and ship goods in the warehouse to thoroughly learn the product line
  • Greet and provide excellent service to contractors who come directly to the parts counter
  • Respond to inquiries, generate quotes, and provide tier-1 technical support
  • Process customer orders from A to Z (price validation, product substitution management, etc.)
  • Maintain and strengthen business relationships with existing clientele by offering high-value-added solutions
  • Provide logistical and sales support to the outside sales team

Requirements

  • Impeccable mastery of the French language, both spoken and written
  • Excellent physical condition and manual labor skills (handling loads in the warehouse)
  • A minimum of concrete experience in customer service
  • Proactive, flexible, hardworking, and action-oriented attitude
  • Strong work ethic and a proven ability to collaborate within a team
  • A completed High School Diploma is required

Nice to have

Knowledge of or experience in the plumbing or building sector is an asset

  • Base salary between $40,000 and $45,000 per year, with a unique profit-sharing plan ($5,000 guaranteed for the first year, with the potential to double your annual salary)
