Internal Sales Representative – HVAC

Job Description

Our client, a private and innovative industrial wholesaler leader established since 1949 in the greater Montreal area, specializes in the sale and maintenance of high-quality industrial process equipment (valves, actuators, pipes, instrumentation, and more). This key Internal Sales support role requires a professional with an engineering background and excellent charisma. The successful candidate will provide high-level technical support to our established clientele while also developing new business opportunities.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintain continuous customer relations by responding to inquiries (phone, email) and managing issues
  • Manage commercial orders and communicate expected delivery dates or stock shortages
  • Support the external sales team by preparing quotes, following up with customers for clarification, and collaborating closely to solve problems
  • Develop leads and sales opportunities by suggesting related products and providing technical information
  • Be involved in projects and possess product knowledge, in contrast to the customer
  • Maintain and improve quality results by following standards and recommending improved policies and procedures
  • Update professional knowledge by participating in training sessions and studying new product descriptions

Requirements

  • Recognized university degree in engineering is an asset
  • Experience in selling valves or other engineering products is indispensable
  • Three years of experience in internal sales of technical products (electrical, electronic, digital/analog, or mechanical manufacturing) is desired
  • Excellent bilingualism (French and English), both oral and written
  • Must be able to communicate with Anglophone partners (manufacturers) located outside Quebec (United States and England) on a regular basis
  • French must be clear and understandable
  • High degree of commitment to service excellence, organizational skills, attention to detail, charisma, and ease of communication
  • Proficiency in IT (MS Office Suite)
  • Must possess a passport and be open to occasional travel (once or twice a year) for training abroad
