Job Description:

Internal Recruitment Officer role working as part of a supportive HR team with opportunity to study CIPD qualification. The position involves full recruitment lifecycle management, HR administrative support, and promoting inclusive recruitment practices in a historic building with stunning grounds.

Job Responsibility:

  • Attract Talent: Develop, create, and place engaging job adverts across multiple platforms
  • Manage Recruitment Process: Oversee all stages of recruitment
  • Effective Communication: Maintain prompt communication with applicants, hiring managers, and external partners
  • Interview Coordination: Arrange and coordinate interviews
  • Job Descriptions: Collaborate with hiring managers to create, review, and update job descriptions
  • Pre-Employment Checks: Conduct thorough pre-employment checks including DBS, references, and occupational health
  • Onboarding: Coordinate start dates and lead the on-boarding process
  • Community Engagement: Build relationships with local colleges, job centres, and community organisations
  • Innovative Strategies: Implement creative recruitment advertising strategies
  • HR Administrative Support: Ensure current staff DBS checks are maintained
  • Process employment references for departing staff
  • Assist with employee benefits and well-being initiatives
  • Support on-boarding and induction activities
  • Maintain employee personnel files
  • General Administration & Reception: Provide administrative support to HR and management teams
  • Cover reception duties as needed
  • Assist with audits directed by the HR Manager
  • Stay updated on employment law changes and HR policies
  • Health & Safety: Ensure recruitment activities adhere to health and safety policies
  • Report any observed risks or incidents
  • Support reasonable adjustments for candidates with disabilities
  • Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion: Champion inclusive recruitment practises
  • Ensure recruitment materials comply with EDI legislation
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to implement inclusive selection processes
  • Monitor recruitment data to identify barriers to diversity

Requirements:

  • Experience working in an HR or Recruitment role
  • Experience in a regulated environment, health education or social care would be ideal
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office
