Job Description:

We are looking for a full time Internal Plumbing and Heating Sales Assistant, for the trade counter within our RGB Okehampton Branch. This position would be ideal for anyone who is currently or has recently worked in a similar trade counter environment ideally. In-house training for all computer and technical aspects of this role will be provided.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work effectively as part of a team promoting the Company's vision, values and aspirations at all times
  • Build effective relationships with customers thus optimising sales and customer service
  • Use initiative to identify and resolve customer/product problems or issues
  • Through initiative and ideas proactively identify new sales opportunities to assist in the maximising of sales and margin
  • Ensure that company policies with regard to computer systems procedures and administration are followed at all times
  • Develop personal product knowledge to enhance service to customers
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and frequently merchandised counter and shop
  • Ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained in line with company policy
  • Actively safeguard against theft of company goods or property by being security conscious at all times
  • Take a pro-active approach in ensuring the health and safety of staff and customers, reporting and responding to any potential H & S concerns/issues
  • Perform any other reasonable duty as may be required by the company

  • Provide exceptional support to our branch network and direct customers, answering queries regarding lead times, product availability, and basic technical specifications
  • Work closely with the supply chain and branches to ensure orders are processed smoothly and delivered on time for customer projects
  • Assist the Renewables Manager by providing regular updates on sales pipelines, conversion rates, and enquiry volumes
