Job Description

Snail Games USA is seeking an experienced Internal General Counsel to serve as a strategic legal advisor to executive leadership and key business units. This role will oversee corporate legal matters, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage risk across the organization. The ideal candidate is business-minded, proactive, and capable of independently handling complex legal matters in a dynamic entertainment environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance to the company’s executive leadership and business units
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, including publishing, licensing, employment, vendor, and partnership agreements
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Manage and oversee corporate governance matters, including board and committee support, corporate filings, and internal governance documentation
  • Collaborate with external counsel when necessary to support litigation, regulatory matters, or specialized legal projects
  • Advise on risk management strategies and develop internal policies to minimize legal exposure
  • Support HR and leadership on employment-related legal matters and best practices

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school and admission to the California Bar
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of corporate legal experience, preferably with in-house counsel experience
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, contracts, employment law, and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to provide strategic legal advice to senior leadership and manage complex matters independently
  • Chinese and English preferred
