Ryanair are looking for an exceptional Internal Communications Manager to lead and evolve internal communications across one of Europe’s biggest, boldest & most successful airline, the one & only Ryanair! Reporting into the Director of Talent, you will own and drive our internal communications strategy for over 30,000 Ryanair people across Europe, leading the continued development of our employee communications platform, Workvivo (we call it Fleethub), while managing a high-performing content and communications team that delivers engaging, creative and impactful content every day. This is not a “keep the lights on” communications role. We want someone with energy, personality and ideas — someone who can build relationships across the business, influence senior stakeholders, move at pace and make things happen – No day is the same at Ryanair, so be warned! You’ll need to be commercially minded, technically savvy, highly organised and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly…very quickly. Internal communications is strategically important at Ryanair & on a Monday morning you get to lead a 15 mins internal stand-up with the Ryanair CEO.
Job Responsibility:
Lead Ryanair’s internal communications strategy
Own and manage our Workvivo platform, ensuring it remains engaging, innovative and aligned with business priorities
Develop creative, high-impact internal campaigns that connect employees to the Ryanair brand and culture
Manage the internal communications team
Partner with senior leaders across the business to shape and deliver strategic communications
Drive employee engagement through compelling storytelling, video, digital and social-style content
Continuously improve how we communicate with staff across operational and office-based environments
Use data, analytics and employee feedback to optimise communications performance and engagement
Identify new ideas, tools and technologies to keep Ryanair’s internal communications best-in-class
Ensure messaging is clear, consistent and delivered at pace across a large international workforce
Requirements:
Significant experience in internal communications, employee engagement or corporate communications
Proven experience managing internal communications platforms such as Workvivo, Meta Workplace or similar
Strong people management experience with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams
A cracking personality — confident, energetic, collaborative and able to build relationships quickly
Someone who gets sh&t done and can work effectively with senior stakeholders across a large organisation
Creative thinker with a track record of delivering fresh, engaging ideas and campaigns…no boring power point strategies around here!
Technically savvy with a strong understanding of digital communications, content platforms and analytics
Excellent writing, storytelling and presentation skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
