Job Description

The Internal Comms Channels and Editorial lead is an exciting new role in the team, designed to ensure we create and deliver communications befitting the UK's leading communications company. It has primary accountability and responsibility for ensuring our content matches the quality of anything our employees consume in their day-to-day lives outside work. Our content needs to be impactful and engaging and tailored to our suite of channels.

Job Responsibility

  • Own and manage the overall communications plan for VodafoneThree, focused on telling the key elements of the VodafoneThree story
  • Own new creative treatments and formats that can be delivered across our channels in a timely way. Applying innovative approaches to enhance our storytelling and develop our internal news room
  • Responsibility for refreshing our content and channels strategy, including for Viva Engage and LinkedIn. Collaborate with stakeholders in every area of the business (Networks, Retail, Corporate) to find and develop compelling stories for our audiences
  • Accountable for delivery of regular and insightful reporting so we know what's cutting through and what's not. Analyse the data to suggest improvements and to extend the reach of our channels
  • Develop strong and collaborative working relationships with senior stakeholders to get things done - including with external agencies for video production etc
  • Work closely with the External Communications team to make sure both internal and external messages and materials produced are consistent, aligned and relevant to the audience
  • Managing the weekly news flow for the business

Requirements

  • Experience in working cross-functionally to align messaging and plan content in a meaningful and strategic way in large organisations
  • Ability to lead and be accountable for the internal communications plan
  • Strong background in delivering communications to the highest standards across multiple functions
  • Experience using a range of media, sound judgement and the deep knowledge of business and audiences
  • Strong senior stakeholder management
  • Experience working cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholder and business areas
  • Dynamic, self-motivated and clear communicator with the ability to get to the heart of complicated issues with speed
