Job Description:

The internal communications team actively drives organisational culture change and strengthens employee engagement. We manage communications programmes that align leadership behaviours, employee voice and organisational values to create a motivated, high-performing workforce. The team plays a pivotal part in embedding equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) into communications and culture, ensuring staff at all levels see themselves represented and valued in an actively anti-racist organisation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the delivery of clear, engaging and inclusive internal communications and staff events across the NMC
  • Focus on producing and publishing content for internal channels such as our intranet
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of staff events and conferences (in person and online)
  • Undertaking administrative actions as required
  • Ensuring colleagues are informed, connected and engaged with organisational priorities

Requirements:

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple communications and event tasks simultaneously
  • Good writing and editing skills, able to adapt content for internal audiences and formats
  • Familiarity with digital communication platforms (e.g. intranet CMS, Yammer/Teams, email platforms) and event management tools
  • Experience of supporting communications and/or event planning in a complex organisation
  • Experience of coordinating logistics, suppliers and budgets for events
  • Experience of monitoring communications or event outcomes and providing feedback for improvement
