We are looking for a skilled Internal Auditor to join our team on a contract basis in Greeley, Colorado. In this role, you will play a key part in evaluating internal processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the organization's financial integrity. Job Responsibility:
Conduct comprehensive audits of organizational processes, financial transactions, and operations to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
Analyze documentation related to expenditures, contracts, and business activities to verify accuracy and proper authorization
Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, including segregation of duties and risk management practices
Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies and provide guidance on compliance requirements
Prepare detailed reports summarizing audit findings and propose actionable recommendations for improvement
Monitor adherence to regulatory standards and support the organization's risk management initiatives
Assist in developing and refining internal audit policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory updates to ensure best practices are applied in auditing processes
Provide insights and recommendations to management for optimizing internal controls and mitigating risks
Requirements:
Proven experience in internal auditing within financial or operational contexts
Strong understanding of audit programs and financial auditing principles
Proficiency in analyzing audit findings and preparing thorough, detail-oriented reports
Familiarity with internal audit processes, including annual reviews and compliance checks
Knowledge of company credit card management and related financial oversight
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify risks and discrepancies
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Ability to stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry best practices
