Job Description:

We are looking for an Internal Auditor to join our team in Portland, Maine. Anyone with more than 2+ years in Public Audit experience with big company exposure.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct in-depth research on audit areas, define audit scope and objectives, and execute compliance and operational audits across the organization
Partner with the internal audit team to deliver comprehensive analyses, reports, and improvement recommendations to business units
Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance process, including risk assessment, testing, and reporting for both business and IT controls
Assess company processes and perform ongoing evaluations of risk

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in auditing or related fields
CPA preferred, or on the career track
Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk management, and compliance
Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with data tools
Effective communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities
