We're looking for someone to play a pivotal leadership role in our Internal Audit team and provide critical independent assurance on a portfolio of audits in our IT and Change space, including a large and complex Technology change programme at an exciting time, both for the Society and the function as we continue to embed our purpose and deliver business growth.
Job Responsibility:
Play a pivotal leadership role in the Internal Audit team
Provide critical independent assurance on a portfolio of audits in IT and Change space, including a large and complex Technology change programme
Work alongside the Technology team on the Core Platform replacement programme
Lead on the internal audit assurance approach for this change and the delivery of the plan
Shadow the Core programme
Offer constructive and live challenge to support the business to establish and manage the risks
Articulate findings and prepare outcomes to share with Exec Transformation and Audit committees
Oversee the more traditional audits on the audit plan, the majority being in IT and Change
Shadow other key programmes
Be a member of the Enterprise Leadership Group focussing on embedding new strategic drivers and reinvigorated blueprints across the Society
Requirements:
Strategic leader with in-depth knowledge of IT and Change
Impactful track record of delivery of assurance programmes for large scale projects, ideally within Financial Services
Trusted, credible partner used to operating at a Senior Leadership level
Ability to influence and effectively contribute
Outstanding stakeholder management skills
Significant technical capability with advanced assurance skills, including planning, delivery and reporting
Knowledge of internal audit methodology and modern auditing techniques
Strong, visible people leader with great relationship skills
Ability to inspire, coach and promote positive engagement
