This is an exciting internship opportunity for you to light the way as a Test Process & Sample Preparation Intern (Smart Luminaires) in Eindhoven (High Tech Campus), the Netherlands with Signify.
Job Responsibility
Create and improve a lean, repeatable sample-preparation flow from Quality Test Plan (QTP) to executed tests (standard work, checklists, visual management)
Coordinate collecting, assembling, registering and labeling of RF connectivity modules, LED modules and luminaire samples for testing
Program/configure connectivity modules (e.g., firmware flashing, commissioning) and ensure correct settings are applied for initial measurements
Set up and execute initial measurements (basic electrical/functional checks) and align measurement setup with the responsible engineers
Maintain clear documentation and traceability of samples and results
continuously improve the workflow together with the team.
Requirements
You are an HBO/WO student in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or similar
Hands-on mindset: comfortable working with electronics, prototypes, tools, and assembling test samples
Interest in RF connectivity / IoT lighting (e.g., flashing firmware, basic troubleshooting, understanding settings and configurations)
Structured and accurate: able to manage labeling, registration, and traceability of multiple samples in parallel
Proactive communicator who enjoys working in a multidisciplinary R&D team and improving ways of working (Lean/continuous improvement)
EU students: To be considered for this internship, you need to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation of this may be requested at any time
Non-EU students in Dutch Universities: You need to be registered as a student, and your university needs to sign the Nuffic Agreement. The internship needs to be a compulsory part of your studies (receive ECTS in turn). In case of non-compulsory internship, you need to have a letter from the university in which it states that your internship contributes to your personal development, what your learning goals are, and what tasks you will undertake during your internship. The letter has to be signed and stamped by your university
