CTC is Germany's leading centre for research and development in the field of design and production of large and complex CFRP components; with an international reputation as an expert for process development, series readiness and production optimisation. The focus of the CTC's work is the development of series technologies for the production and assembly of CFRP components in aircraft construction. Job Responsibility:
Literature Research on continuous ultrasonic welding, industrial robots and their interactions
Development, configuration, and adaptation of an offline programming framework for industrial robots based on Grasshopper/Rhino to support an ultrasonic welding research platform
Generation of robot programs via offline programming and investigation of process–robot interactions
Validation of simulation models and offline programs through experimental comparison with the physical robotic system
Systematic analysis and optimization of the robotic ultrasonic welding process to improve accuracy, robustness, and repeatability
Work with the industrial robot and automation equipment
Requirements:
Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) in the area of mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, automation or manufacturing engineering, aerospace engineering or an equivalent field of study
Knowledge in the field of robotics and automation
Ideally, experience with robot offline programming software
Experience with CAD software specially CATIA
Ability to work independently and on your own responsibility
High intrinsic motivation, teamwork and communication skills
Language skills: Very good English and preferably good German skills
