For CTC GmbH in Stade, we are looking for students for practical assignments (internships), the topic can subsequently be continued in the form of a bachelors or master thesis. The CTC GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of Airbus Operations GmbH. CTC is Germany's leading centre for research and development in the field of design and production of large and complex CFRP components; with an international reputation as an expert for process development, series readiness and production optimisation. The focus of the CTC's work is the development of series technologies for the production and assembly of CFRP components in aircraft construction. Job Responsibility:
Conduct literature research on continuous ultrasonic welding, industrial robots and their interactions and support in the ongoing welding activities
Analysis of requirements and preparation of specifications for the new welding end effector
Redesign of the new end effector using CATIA and performing static and dynamic structural simulations to validate the design
Iterative improvement of the structure and validation of the model under measured forces (static, dynamic, frictional, etc.) from the process
Ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer for the continued development of the system
Requirements:
Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) in the area of mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, automation or manufacturing engineering, aerospace engineering or an equivalent field of study
Knowledge in the field of electronics and sensors
Experience with CAD software especially CATIA
Experience with structural analysis (static and dynamic)
Ability to work independently and on your own responsibility
High intrinsic motivation, teamwork and communication skills
Language skills: Very good English and preferably good German skills
