Job Description

As an intern you are exposed to the various positions in the Engineering Services Division. The intent is for an intern to begin learning many of the duties listed below: Assist, as requested, in the project design, plan production, planning, organizing, and reporting activities related to engineering.

Job Responsibility

  • Support engineering department with day-to-day deliverables
  • Mathematical calculations and checking
  • Read, understand, and apply specifications and engineering criteria
  • Assist with report preparation
  • Perform reviews of the work performed by others
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Administrative tasks for the department
  • Attend Project and Administrative Meetings

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Current student of an accredited institution in a Civil Engineering program pursuing a BS degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
  • Proficiency in various MS Office and CAD software is preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication, decision-making, problem resolution, and a sense of initiative
  • Team-oriented attitude
  • Desire to grow professionally
