At IKEA, we’re on a mission to make sustainable living affordable, accessible, and inspiring for the many people. As part of this journey, we are growing our secondhand proposition — giving products a second life and reducing waste. Now, we’re looking for a passionate and driven Intern in Sustainability to help us create a new Secondhand Pricing Model. This new pricing model needs to enable us to achieve our ambitious growth ambitions whilst making this more financially sustainable.

Job Responsibility:

  • Analyze existing data on secondhand sales, customer willingness to pay, and operational costs
  • Develop and test a dynamic pricing framework that balances sustainability ambitions with business performance
  • Translate analytical insights into clear, practical recommendations and actions
  • Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders across IKEA functions
  • Set up pilots and run experiments to continuously improve the pricing model based on real-world feedback
  • Present findings and proposals to internal stakeholders in a clear and convincing manner

Requirements:

  • Doing this internship as part of your school's degree
  • You're following an education at a Dutch school in the fields of Business, Economics, Data Science, Sustainability, or a related area
  • You have strong analytical skills and a natural talent for working with numbers and data
  • You know how to turn insights into concrete, actionable outcomes
  • You are curious, hands-on, and not afraid to test, fail, learn, and try again
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • You can easily connect with a variety of people and build trust
  • Experience in organizing and leading projects or programs is a pre
  • You are passionate about sustainability
