Boeing Nagoya Research Center is looking for an Intern to be based in our Nagoya office. As an intern at Boeing Japan, you’ll gain hands-on experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with teams that do truly amazing things.Join us as we build the future in intern will have the chance to support engineering projects in military systems, commercial aircraft or technology development. Internship opportunities are available in but not limited to: aerospace/flight, mechanical/structural, electrical, software, systems, industrial, material and test engineering.
Job Responsibility:
Participate in audit programs to qualify suppliers to engineering requirements and production schedules
Help ensure materials, processes and equipment readiness for qualification
Participate in complex root-cause and corrective action activities to ensure manufactured parts and processes meet engineering and regulatory requirements
Interface with stakeholders in Boeing procurement and quality organizations and Boeing Suppliers to ensure M&P support reflects the requirements of both supply chain and engineering design
Participate in Research & Development (R&D) projects to develop new and innovative materials and processes that improve production quality, safety, cost, and rate
Lead others (team) in R&D work statement, define technology development strategies, and provide engineering consultation for composites materials and processes
Collaborate with regional and global R&D partners to implement novel carbon fiber reinforced polymer composite materials and processing technologies
Participate in projects or initiatives related to sustainability
Requirements:
Ability to work full-time for 1-2 months during the 2026 calendar year
Having authorization to work in Japan (up to 40H/week)
Undergraduate student who will graduate between Oct 2026 and Jul 2028 with degree in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Applicable to Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral programs)
Basic knowledge related to project planning, management and execution
Basic knowledge related to aerospace materials, parts and fabrication processes
Flexibility to learn and work across a variety of aerospace manufacturing technologies and applications
Ability to collaborate productively in multidiscipline teaming environments
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English required
Nice to have:
Excellent written and oral communication skills in Japanese
