Design and Validation of components, assemblies and repair solutions that are optimized in terms of weight, cost, performance, production/assembly requirements while highest safety of the Product is assured using appropriate Design tools
Analyze and Validate structures for static & fatigue strength according to validated methods
Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, relevant design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capabilities guidelines
Define, interpret and validate tests
Interface and communicate with relevant stakeholders
Provide input for the creation of drawings for manufacture and support to other functions (i.e. production, customer support) as needed
Provide stress analysis for the repair/acceptance of damaged structures

Bachelor degree or above in Engineering Degree (Aeronautical is preferable

Experience in Aircraft Structures Design or in Strength Analysis, Stress Methods & Principles (static and/or fatigue and damage tolerance)

Job Responsibility

Perform analysis of the in-service queries / damage reports in aircraft structure received from airline customers / MRO
Provide repair solutions focusing on design of repair to ensure all airbus standards and certification requirements
Perform strength analysis (static and fatigue) on structure repair ensuring the application of relevant Airbus stress methods and tools from a structure strength point of view and prepare the technical documents for approval
Coordinating with the partner Design Office and In-Service Customer Service and Airtac etc to deliver a solution that meets the customer needs
Coordinating with other actors on the proposed repair solution considering the implications of Airworthiness regulations, Materials and Processes, Aerodynamic effects and any other function as required
Support in internal data collection and statistics, regular delivery report preparation
Supporting continuous technical improvement and innovations initiatives (e.g. (digitalization) of the Daily Repairs team through selected projects
Contribute to company objectives including CSR and AOS (Airbus Operating System) etc
Be part of Airbus’s Follow-The-Sun strategy and contribute to global 24/7 customer support

Bachelor’s degree and above in Aeronautics, Aerospace Engineering
Min 3 years relevant work experience in aerospace and the aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul industry
Knowledge of maintenance repair practices, equipment and ways of working

Job Responsibility

Provide end-to-end solutions to customers’ structure repair AOG/Critical/Regular queries related to design and documentation
Collaborate and liaise closely with Spare solution team/AOG spare team/Airbus Spares/Satair to ensure that all repair solutions take into account the availability of parts for each repair
Adhere to the ‘Follow the Sun’ working principles, and follow the Airbus processes in place for the Repair Solutions activity
Ensure transfer of in-service experience and maintenance activities to the management, to other divisions of Customer Services and Airbus design organisation including vendors
Participate in the Daily Operational Meeting and report any topic that becomes critical or requires escalation
Liaise closely with Airbus Customer Support directors and the Field service community to ensure alignment on sensitive topics
Adhere to agreed internal quality guidelines
Identify and follow up on damages related to potentially safety critical items
Assist operators on-site for structural damage evaluation or repair work performance, if required
