The Strategy Intern will be part of the Clearway Strategy Department within Business Operations. The Strategy team supports organic growth vectors, corporate development activities, continuous improvement projects, and strategic initiatives. This position is part of the 10-week Summer Internship Program at Clearway Energy Group beginning in June 2026.
Job Responsibility:
Provide project management, conceptual & analytical problem solving on key cross-functional projects
Become familiar with and conduct analyses in financial models
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on due diligence of new product introduction / new market entry complementary to core business segments
Perform ad-hoc quantitative analyses to support ongoing origination, development, and financing activities for projects
Assist in the preparation of detailed memos and presentations for senior management, executive leadership team, investment committees, or the board of directors
Conduct market analysis to identify new growth areas and merger & acquisitions targets
Maintain competitive market intelligence for the renewable energy industry
The Strategy Intern will be assigned with an individual project and will present results to leadership at the end of the summer
Requirements:
First or second year students currently pursuing an MBA or other graduate-level degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, or computer science
Strong quantitative skills, proficient in MS Excel and MS Power Point, familiar/comfortable with financial models
Ability to clearly communicate concepts and support hypotheses with data
Strong time management and organizational skills
Curiosity and eagerness to learn about renewable project development, financing structures, and power markets
Strong interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable
Ability to work independently, multitask and take ownership over projects and assignments
