Job Description

As Intern Strategy & Expansion, you will play a key role in supporting and shaping Westwing's most important strategic priorities. From day one, you will take ownership of analytical and operational tasks, gaining deep insights into how strategic decisions are made at a rapidly expanding e-commerce company. You'll be part of the Strategy & Expansion team, which reports to the CEO, and collaborate closely with a dynamic, diverse function. This internship offers a steep learning curve, real responsibility, and an excellent opportunity to grow your strategic and analytical skillset. The position is limited to 6 months and based in Munich. Our preferred start date is June 2026.

Job Responsibility

  • Work on strategic and high-impact topics such as expansion planning & execution, positioning, and operational improvement
  • Gather, analyse, and interpret data from various sources to generate actionable insights
  • Conduct market and competitor research, benchmark industry best practices, and derive strategic recommendations
  • Prepare analyses and materials to support cross-departmental decision-making, including large data sets, spreadsheets, charts, and trend identification
  • Create high-quality presentations and decision documents for senior management
  • Support ongoing projects through stakeholder interviews, cross-functional collaboration, administrative coordination, and the use of AI tools to enhance research, analysis, and presentation quality

Requirements

  • Studies in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a comparable field
  • First practical experience in Strategy Consulting, Business Development, or a comparable analytical role
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to distill complex information into clear, actionable insights
  • Proactive, structured, and responsible working style with a strong goal-oriented mindset
  • Positive, communicative, and highly motivated personality with curiosity for new technologies and AI-driven ways of working
  • Very strong MS Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
