Job Description

As an Intern in Propulsion Systems In Service Engineering at Airbus India Private Limited, you will support the team in analyzing in-service data, troubleshooting propulsion system issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of engine performance and reliability for Airbus aircraft.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist senior engineers in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting in-service data related to aircraft propulsion systems (Engines, APUs, Nacelles, Fuel systems, Bleed and Air systems)
  • Support the investigation of propulsion system anomalies, defects, and operational incidents
  • Contribute to the development and update of technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides, service bulletins, and maintenance manuals
  • Participate in root cause analysis for recurring propulsion system issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and customer support, to address in-service challenges
  • Prepare presentations and reports summarizing technical findings and recommendations
  • Contribute to the development and update of various digital dashboards to support troubleshooting and consolidation of fleet issues
  • Participate in investigations into component failures or performance degradation of propulsion systems
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to understand and apply engineering principles to real-world challenges

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong academic record with a keen interest in aircraft propulsion systems
  • Basic understanding of gas turbine engine principles and operation
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, MATLAB) is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • A strong desire to learn and contribute in a fast-paced engineering environment

Nice to have

Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, MATLAB) is a plus
