Job Description:

CNS is looking for an Intern, Project Technology and Optimization to join our team. The Project Technology & Optimization Intern will support the Project Success team by assisting with technology tools, process improvements, and data-driven optimization initiatives. This role is designed for a motivated student interested in how technology, systems, and continuous improvement drive operational excellence across large-scale projects. You will gain hands-on experience working with project data, internal tools, reporting systems, and workflow optimization efforts that directly support project delivery and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with the maintenance, organization, and improvement of Project Success technology tools and platforms
  • Support process optimization initiatives by documenting workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and proposing improvements
  • Help build and maintain dashboards, reports, and tracking tools used for project performance and operational insights
  • Partner with team members to test, refine, and deploy new tools or system enhancements
  • Assist with data validation, cleanup, and standardization across project systems
  • Support documentation of best practices, SOPs, and technology usage guides
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Project teams to support technology-enabled solutions
  • Provide general analytical and technical support to Project Success leadership as needed

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Operations, or a related field
  • Strong interest in technology, process improvement, and operational efficiency
  • Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and basic reporting tools
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience with tools such as Excel, Smartsheet, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Exposure to process improvement, Lean, or continuous improvement concepts
  • Basic understanding of project management or operations workflows
  • Experience with automation, scripting, or low-code tools is a plus (but not required)
