Job Description

As a Project Engineering Intern, you’ll work closely with our engineering team to support planning and execution for the Global 8000 program. You’ll gain hands-on experience, develop key skills, and have a real impact on one of our most exciting programs.

Job Responsibility

  • Helping plan, track, and execute projects for the Global 8000 aircraft
  • Building project schedules and supporting implementation plans
  • Monitoring progress to make sure everything stays on track
  • Assisting the Project Engineer with reporting and performance tracking
  • Preparing business cases and budgets to help guide decisions
  • Communicating with people across departments and outside the company
  • Keeping documents, project timelines, and databases up to date
  • Supporting key team goals and learning how to manage KPIs
  • Identifying risks and working on creative ways to handle them
  • Solving real-world problems using both logic and innovation
  • Joining product development meetings and learning how priorities are set
  • Practicing written and verbal communication through reports and presentations

Requirements

  • Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or something similar
  • Great with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (advanced is a plus!), MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams
  • Strong communication and time-management skills
  • Can clearly explain ideas—written or spoken
  • Team player and builds positive relationships easily
  • Flexible and can handle changing priorities
  • Creative and cares about the quality of work
  • Comfortable working independently and figuring things out
  • Speaks English fluently
  • French is a bonus

Nice to have

  • Done project management, budgeting, or scheduling before
  • Worked in aerospace or manufacturing

  • Support the Project Engineer to monitor project performance and other project tasks
  • Communicate with a variety of stakeholders inside and outside the organization
  • Prepare the business case (documents & budgets) in support of the business unit's decision-making
  • Prepare and update project schedules, project documentation, governance files and databases
  • Support the project team in meeting key performance indicators of the Project Engineering Department and seek-out stakeholder engagement
  • Identify the risks associated with the project and give visibility on mitigation plans to reduce risks
