Job Description

As the working student Fleet Management (m/f/d) you will support our Fleet Managers in Germany and Netherlands with a variety of tasks to maintain a functional and efficiently used fleet of more than 3000 vehicles by having cost but most importantly fleet uptime under control. With a yearly budget of over 10 Mio € you will be part of one of the most crucial parts of Flink’s operation team. Your core mission is to manage the physical allocation of product inventory within our German hubs (our "shelf space"). You will be the analytical backbone ensuring optimal utilization and flow, directly contributing to faster picking and error reduction.

Job Responsibility

  • Space Planning: Own the process for planning and managing our hub inventory, driven by new product listings & delistings
  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure every inch of our shelf space is utilized optimally to support efficient operations
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to current space management practices across the entire German hub network to standardize and scale our operations
  • Data & Analytics: Provide data-driven insights and perform ad-hoc analyses on hub utilization, product flow and operational impact
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Category Management, Hub Operations and Tech teams to implement changes seamlessly

Requirements

  • Current Enrollment: Currently studying in either your Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or similar)
  • Analytical Skillset (Mandatory): Advanced, hands-on knowledge of Google Sheets / MS Excel and SQL-based database tools for data manipulation and modeling
  • Communication: Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English are required
  • Good German skills are beneficial but not mandatory
  • Startup DNA: You are proactive, hands-on, and thrive in an environment where speed and impact are paramount

Nice to have

Automation Skills (Nice to Have): Knowledge of Python, App Script, or other lightweight scripting languages for automating repetitive tasks
