Job Description:

The BioMarin Summer Internship Program will enable students to gain valuable experience and knowledge of the processes and systems within BioMarin, while gaining an insight into the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Over the course of 10 - 12 weeks our interns gain industry experience while working alongside our talented team on meaningful projects. This role is in our Manufacturing department. We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Operations Analyst intern to support 5S and inspection readiness activities within our Drug Substance Facility. This role offers hands-on experience to GMP manufacturing, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance in a biotech environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support 5S and inspection readiness activities within our Drug Substance Facility
  • Partner closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to help ensure workspaces, documentation, and visual management tools meet inspection-ready standards

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Comfortable working in a regulated environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in: Engineering (Chemical, Bioengineering, Industrial), Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Operations, or related field
  • Work performed in an active manufacturing environment
  • Will require gowning and adherence to GMP Procedures
  • Standing and walking in manufacturing areas required
  • Must be available to work full time, 40 hours a week
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. based university or college and enrolled in the fall term after the completion of the internship OR have graduated within 1 year of the start of the program
  • Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship for on-site, hybrid roles
