Job Responsibility:
Contribute to the rapid testing, engineering, and validation of innovative technology ideas and concepts to ensure reliable results for Direct Air Capture (DAC)
Support the design, development, and engineering of upgrades across Climeworks' testing portfolio, focusing on small to medium-scale systems
Play a key role in improving small to medium-scale test facilities by contributing to their ongoing technological development and refinement
Assess the feasibility of different measurement methods based on test results and practical implementation, providing recommendations for improvements or alternatives
Validate engineered upgrades through careful planning, execution, data analysis, and communicate your findings effectively to relevant stakeholders
Requirements:
Completed a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field and are currently enrolled or have graduated within the last year
Proven experience using CAD for engineering applications and are familiar with technical drawing standards
Strong foundational knowledge in thermodynamics and fluid dynamics, with a practical understanding of small and medium-scale testing process design
Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and creativity when facing incomplete or uncertain information
Reliable, structured, and performance-driven, thriving both in fast-paced, collaborative team environments and when working independently
Fluent in English
Available for a full-time 6-month internship, ideally beginning on April 1st 2026
Nice to have:
Knowledge of German is a plus
