Internship role at Climeworks, a leading carbon removal provider, to support business process modelling and operations development for scaling Direct Air Capture technology.
Job Responsibility:
Operations Development: Play an important role in defining how to operate the largest Direct Air Capture plants in the world in the most efficient way
Work on high-priority projects to support the scale-up journey at Climeworks
Business Process: Build a world-class management system and business process model (BPM) that governs how every part of Climeworks operates
Map processes, document what exists, and engage with the wider teams to design what’s next
Challenge the status-quo and shape the future of operations
Company-wide Scope: Learn in depth how Climeworks is structured as a business, covering all business units, functions and departments
Be involved in discussions involving each of our end-to-end value streams, gaining an extensive oversight of all activities
Collaboration with Partners: Work closely with colleagues across all departments and have exposure to leaders in every business unit
Understand how they work and translate this information into process flows, creating new procedural documents
Communication & Presentation: Communicate results, findings, and observations clearly and concisely to peers, and present them in business reviews
Serve as a collaborator and advisor on projects aimed at process optimization and operational development
Contribute to strategic initiatives to scale DAC technology
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in or recently completed a bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or other related fields of study
Experience in corporate management, quality management, or audit/compliance will be a plus
Familiarity with business process modelling, quality management systems, or legal and compliance will be a plus
Proactive, innovative, and collaborative working style
Ability to work across disciplines and support others
Looking for a challenge and not afraid of taking risks and trying new things
English language skills
Available for a 6-month internship with a start date preferably in February 2026 or shortly thereafter
Nice to have:
Experience in corporate management, quality management, or audit/compliance
Familiarity with business process modelling, quality management systems, or legal and compliance
