Internship opportunity at Bombardier, a global leader in aviation, focused on immigration law and global mobility. The role involves assisting with visa and work permit applications, legal research, document preparation, and database management within the Legal Affairs and Global Mobility team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in coordinating and preparing applications for Visas, work permits and permanent residence for Canada and the United States
  • Prepare translations, affidavits and other legal documents
  • Prepare various correspondences with governments to respond to inspections and audits
  • Assist business travelers with their business visa application and registration procedures, when required
  • Coordinate the certification, notarization and legalization of required documents with embassies, consulates, bar association
  • etc.
  • Conduct legal research in the field of immigration law, labor law and related matters and prepare PowerPoint presentations
  • Assist in drafting legal opinions
  • Assist in the management of the CIC Employer Portal
  • Assist in managing and updating the database containing all the information related to the expiry date of work permits
  • Enter data and import documents into the database managing Legal Affairs and Global Mobility files, documents and data, and prepare report
  • Participate in corporate governance activities such as tracking changes in immigration laws and regulations that may impact Bombardier
  • and Assist in coordinating global immigration legal services with our external suppliers

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in the law program of a Canadian or American university
  • Fluent in French and English, both orally and in writing
  • Intercultural skills and international experience
  • Good sense of organization and strong document management and file management skills
  • Advanced skills in the use of IT tools
  • Can easily write letters and review documents
  • Customer oriented
  • Capacity to work on several files at the same time
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative and are autonomous
  • Have an eye for detail
  • Have a desire to learn new things
