Intern Data Science

• Work with large and complex data sets (both internal and external data) to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies
• Identify and compile data sets using a variety of tools (e.g., SQL, Access) to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business outcomes
• Document data requirements, data collection, processing, cleaning, and exploratory data analysis
• Utilize statistical models, algorithms, and data visualization techniques
• Specialize in marketing, risk, digital, and AML fields
• Appropriately assess risks when business decisions are made
• Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations
• Demonstrate sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices
• Escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency

• Previous related experience preferred
• Have the ability to retrieve and manipulate data
• Working experience in a quantitative field
• Possess analytic ability and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be organized, detail-oriented, and adaptive to matrix work environment
• Academic background: Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Systems Engineering, or a related field
• Basic proficiency in Excel
• Knowledge of Python or SQL as programming languages
• Understanding of database management
• Knowledge of models
