Job Description:

The Spec Analytics Analyst is a trainee professional role. Requires a good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles upon which the job is based. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Makes evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information. They are expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents.

Job Responsibility:

Work with large and complex data sets (both internal and external data) to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies
Identify and compile data sets using a variety of tools (e.g. SQL, Access) to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business to business outcomes
Document data requirements, data collection / processing / cleaning, and exploratory data analysis
May include utilizing statistical models / algorithms and data visualization techniques
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made
Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations
Execute requirements and analyze results of strategies
Work on the development of machine learning models
Deliver reports/dashboards in Excel and/or Power Point with results of strategies and prediction models

Requirements:

Previous related experience preferred
Ability to retrieve and manipulation data
Working experience in a quantitative field
Possess analytic ability and problem solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Organized, detail oriented, and adaptive to matrix work environment
Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
