Harbinger Motors is seeking a Controls Intern to contribute to the development of vehicle control systems for an electric medium duty truck. The position will contribute directly to the development and validation of algorithms for control of vehicle systems, and more broadly help develop a vehicle product which is a technological step forward in the space.
Job Responsibility:
Develop software algorithms in Simulink & Stateflow
Create physical models in SimScape to represent vehicle components and systems
Perform Model-In-The-Loop simulation tests for validation of control algorithms
Build Algorithm code using code generation tools
Debug issues in implemented code found in simulation testing or in-vehicle testing
Use vehicle communication instrumentation to root-cause issues identified
Assist with hands-on evaluation of controls performance in bench setups and in-vehicle
Software Requirements authoring and decomposition of system requirements
Develop fault detection for loss of communication or I/O
Develop fail-safe strategies for algorithms in response to detected faults
Develop automation scripts for CI/CD to generate Simulink model metrics, etc.
Requirements:
Experience with MATLAB / Simulink required
Experience with source control systems such as git, svn, mercurial required
Knowledge of hybrid / electric vehicle systems and components preferred
Experience with CAN monitoring tools such as CANalyzer, BusMaster, or similar preferred
Exposure to Classical / Modern Control theory preferred
Work authorized in the United States OR ability to obtain F-1 visa
