Job Description:

Congruex is seeking a motivated Construction, Estimating, and Project Management to support our telecommunications construction teams. This internship is designed for students pursuing Construction Management, Estimating, Project Management, or related fields who want real-world exposure to fiber and telecom construction projects. You’ll gain hands-on experience across estimating, project coordination, construction operations, budgeting, and documentation, while working alongside experienced Project Managers, Estimators, and Construction Managers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with project estimating, including reviewing plans, performing material takeoffs, and supporting bid proposals
  • Help coordinate pre-construction and construction activities, schedules, and project documentation
  • Support field operations by reviewing daily reports, timesheets, and assisting with site visits
  • Track project costs, budgets, and basic forecasts using Excel and project tools
  • Organize and maintain project documents (contracts, change orders, reports)
  • Prepare meeting notes, status updates, and internal reports
  • Support project closeout activities such as as-builts and closeout packages
  • Learn and follow safety, quality, and compliance standards
  • Assist with additional projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field
  • Strong interest in construction, project management, or telecommunications infrastructure
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
  • Comfortable working with Excel, Word, and basic data analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work both in an office and jobsite environment
  • Valid driver’s license (for site visits, if applicable)

Nice to have:

  • Coursework or experience in construction estimating or project management
  • Exposure to blueprints, schedules, or construction documents
  • Familiarity with estimating or scheduling software
