Boston Consulting Group is seeking an intern for the Vantage and Consulting Teams in the energy sector. The role involves supporting analysts in renewable energy and power markets through research, data modeling, and analysis. Candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or Energy Economics, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and Python is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English are required, with German language skills being advantageous. This is a full-time internship for 6 months, offering a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
Job Responsibility:
Contribution to the development of dynamic tools by conducting modelling and analysis
collaboration with cross-functional teams
Ownership of comprehensive research and analysis
Enhancement and maintenance of internal data models and benchmarking tools
Assistance to the Renewable Energy & Power Markets Vantage Team in adhoc requests from international power and utilities clients
Support of internal projects and activities like database maintenance, newsletter process support, and filing of documents
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's studies with high academic achievements
preferably in engineering, business or (energy) economics
Deep interest in the energy sector
Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
Strong Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and PowerPoint capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to have:
German language skills
mathematical optimization knowledge
Python knowledge
First practical experience through internships or working student positions
