Job Description

During your internship, you will contribute to: Work on one or more of the following avionics systems: AFCS, Communication (VHF, HF, SATCOM, Datalink), Navigation (ADF, VOR, ILS, DME, TCAS, Transponder, IRS, GPS, FMS, Weather Radar), Displays (EFIS, EICAS, HUD, SVS), Information/Maintenance & Recording (IMS, OMS, Data load, CVR, FDR, AHMS). Assist an experienced integrator to define and manage the systems and subsystems requirements to ensure safety, certification & aircraft design requirements and objectives are met. Work with the system suppliers as well as other interfacing suppliers and disciplines on the program to ensure the system is properly designed to be integrated smoothly on the aircraft. Write reports and documentation to support avionics system certifications. Support ARP4754A system and aircraft requirement verification and validation. Support the Final Assembly Line and In-Service Aircrafts for any design related issues. During your internship, you will learn: The process for managing design changes within a large‑scale engineering organization; The many aspects of aircraft lifecycle management; Requirements management; Priority management and time management

Requirements

  • Completed 3rd year of a 4-year program in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge with specification, function, integration and testing related to Avionics systems
  • Knowledge on how avionics systems integrate and interact to the overall aircraft
  • Knowledge with the industry standards DO-178, DO-160 and ARP4754 (Asset)
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong work planning structure and prioritization
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
