Job Description

This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of Avionics Systems In-Service Engineering. The intern will support the team in analyzing in-service data, troubleshooting reported issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of avionics systems on Airbus aircraft.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist in the analysis of in-service data (e.g., flight data, maintenance logs, pilot reports) related to avionics systems to identify trends and potential issues
  • Support engineers in troubleshooting reported avionics system malfunctions and incidents, potentially involving research into technical documentation and schematics
  • Contribute to the development and update of technical documentation, including service bulletins, repair procedures, and maintenance manuals
  • Contribute to the development and update of various digital dashboards to support troubleshooting and consolidation of fleet issues
  • Participate in investigations into component failures or performance degradation of avionics systems
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to understand and apply engineering principles to real-world avionics challenges
  • Learn about various avionics systems, including but not limited to navigation, communication, flight control, and surveillance systems
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations on in-service performance and engineering investigations
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Avionics Systems In-Service Engineering team

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Avionics, or a related field
  • Strong foundational understanding of electronic principles
  • Basic knowledge of avionics systems concepts and architecture
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of curiosity, eagerness to learn, and a proactive attitude
  • Prior experience with data analysis tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) is advantageous but not mandatory
