Intern Asset Engineer

• Supporting the analysis and reporting of data collected from overhead power distribution and transmission network inspections, with a primary focus on desktop analysis of field-captured data
• Analyse and process inspection data, including thermal IR imagery and pole-top photos
• Identify defects and assist in creating detailed inspection reports
• Collaborate with the inspection team to source information and solve problems
• Support engineers and drone pilots during field inspections
• Ensure all equipment and PPE is maintained, tested, and compliant
• Communicate openly with internal teams and external stakeholders, providing positive customer experiences
• Prioritise health, safety, and environmental compliance in all activities

• Recent graduate in Engineering (Electrical preferred), Surveying, Civil, or related fields, OR have prior electrical experience such as trade or technician experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and in a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel across New Zealand
• New Zealand work rights are required for the role
