Job Description

Internship at Bombardier, a global leader in aviation, contributing to acoustics and vibrations projects. The internship includes conferences, learning opportunities, and social/networking events.

Job Responsibility

  • Produce ground, flight or laboratory test plan
  • Perform ground or flight acoustics and vibration tests
  • Analyze acoustics and vibration data
  • Produce technical reports
  • Develop vibro-acoustic analytical tools (FEM, SEA, Ray tracing)
  • Use vibro-acoustic models for predictions

Requirements

  • Enrolled as an undergraduate, Master’s or PHD level student in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Eng. Physics) with a focus on acoustics or structural modeling
  • Interest in acoustics and vibration and in aerospace
  • Familiar with: Acoustics and vibration analysis (Fourier analysis)
  • Matlab
  • Excel and VBA
  • Fluent in English and French for both written and verbal communication

  • Develop passive and active noise and vibration control solutions for existing and future aircraft
  • Define, perform and evaluate acoustic and vibration tests: in flight, on ground and in laboratory
  • Support the qualification of aircraft systems to mechanical environments, including vibration, shocks and acoustics. Define mechanical requirements for system installation on aircraft. Evaluate experimental evidence based on qualification tests
  • Evaluate human exposure to noise and vibration levels in accordance with international standards
  • Contribute to troubleshooting activities in relation to acoustic and vibration events in prototype and service aircraft
