Job Description

Our team develops the structural tools & methodologies for the sizing of the aircraft of tomorrow in order to maintain Bombardier's leadership position in the industry.

Job Responsibility

  • Work within the Advanced Structures engineering department of Bombardier
  • Help develop models and tools to process an innovative aircraft structure
  • Complete and analyze available data concerning similar existing structures
  • Create the documentation (procedures and methodologies) for the development of this new aircraft
  • Support the first phase of development for the structural aspect with standard analysis tools, for instance, finite element analysis
  • Begin the production of the deliverables required for this first development phase

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a mechanical engineering degree with some coding experience
  • Familiar with python coding (Python 3.0+) and object-oriented programming methods
  • Experience with Nastran (Siemens NX, Altair OptiStruct, MSC) or at least another finite element software suite
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office
  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Autonomous, result-driven and enthusiastic with strong work ethic
  • Available for an extension or a longer internship (8 month)
