Advanced Aerodynamics design and develop high-quality aircraft aerodynamic configurations and provide aerodynamic support to all functions involved in the design, development, certification and support of Bombardier aircraft.

Job Responsibility:

  • Generating aerodynamic solutions using CFD software in support of Flight Sciences, Loads & Dynamics, Thermodynamics, and Systems requirements
  • Producing estimates of external pressure distributions, aerodynamic loads, and stability derivatives for specific Bombardier products, and validate these results with experimental data
  • Developing complex CFD workflows and integrate various tools to enable aircraft design and multi-disciplinary optimizations
  • Developing novel mesh generation, deformation and adaptation techniques, compatible with in-house and/or commercially available grid generation packages
  • Predicting aircraft drag, low-speed characteristics, and stall onset

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Canadian academic institution for a master’s degree in engineering
  • Theoretical knowledge in fluid mechanics and aerodynamics
  • Theoretical knowledge of compressible Navier-Stokes numerical methods (CFD)
  • Experience with commercial tools for mesh generation, RANS CFD solvers, and CAD
  • Experience with coding in Python, shell script programming, and LINUX environment
  • Good communication skills in both French and English
  • Eligible to work in Canada
