Advanced Aerodynamics design and develop high-quality aircraft aerodynamic configurations and provide aerodynamic support to all functions involved in the design, development, certification and support of Bombardier aircraft.
Job Responsibility:
Generating aerodynamic solutions using CFD software in support of Flight Sciences, Loads & Dynamics, Thermodynamics, and Systems requirements
Producing estimates of external pressure distributions, aerodynamic loads, and stability derivatives for specific Bombardier products, and validate these results with experimental data
Developing complex CFD workflows and integrate various tools to enable aircraft design and multi-disciplinary optimizations
Developing novel mesh generation, deformation and adaptation techniques, compatible with in-house and/or commercially available grid generation packages
Predicting aircraft drag, low-speed characteristics, and stall onset
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a Canadian academic institution for a master’s degree in engineering
Theoretical knowledge in fluid mechanics and aerodynamics
Theoretical knowledge of compressible Navier-Stokes numerical methods (CFD)
Experience with commercial tools for mesh generation, RANS CFD solvers, and CAD
Experience with coding in Python, shell script programming, and LINUX environment
Good communication skills in both French and English
