Job Description

As a Dispatcher, you will be at the heart of the import/export container transport dispatch service. Your primary role will be to manage a fleet of truckers and coordinate the movement of goods between terminals, clients, and warehouses. You will work closely with the team and drivers to ensure smooth and optimized deliveries and pickups during your evening shift.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan, organize, and optimize routes
  • Manage the dispatch and tracking of 30 to 35 truckers on your shift
  • Book and coordinate essential terminal appointments
  • Communicate in real-time with drivers, assist them, and resolve unforeseen issues or delays
  • Maintain communication with clients and our customer service department regarding deliveries
  • Contribute to operational efficiency by managing order errors and ensuring compliance with transport procedures and regulations

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to interact with clients and the team
  • A strong sense of autonomy, an analytical mind, and the ability to anticipate situations
