Do you have 10+ years experience with Azure Cloud and Oracle Database 19c and technologies including, Data Guard, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Oracle Wallet, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) on RedHat Linux platform? Do you have the working knowledge of new features such as Oracle Multitenant option, Oracle Active Data Guard Far Sync, in-memory database, information lifecycle management enhancements, and new data types? If so, this would be a great opportunity for you! Our client is looking for an Intermediate Specialized IT Consultant for a 12 month contract in Toronto. This is an onsite role. Rate: $486.05 - $ 522.8

Job Responsibility

  • Providing Oracle database support to project teams
  • Build Oracle database Infrastructure in Azure Cloud
  • Provide ongoing support to all non-production and production database environments
  • Refreshing the non-production databases from production data
  • Tune all Oracle instance components including SQL and PL/SQL
  • Provide data migration and data extract support
  • Realtime data replication using Oracle Golden Gate technology
  • Provide high availability using Active Data Guard technology
  • Control access permissions and privileges
  • Maintain data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act
  • Test and enable new database features and customize them as per requirements
  • Install, configure, and test Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) grid agent
  • Provide performance tuning and optimization of Oracle databases
  • Provide database documentation, including standards, procedures, and definitions
  • Monitor and ensure CPU, memory, I/O, and storage are functioning as expected
  • Collaborate with the project manager, IT leads, database administrators, project teams, and vendors
  • Support deployment and release activities
