Job Description:

Do you have experience leading and conducting business analysis in order to assess client’s business problems / opportunities and document the business requirements in such a way that technology solutions can be determined? Do you have understanding of different software development methodologies (waterfall, iterative & incremental, agile)? If so, this would be a great opportunity for you! Our client is looking for an Intermediate Specialized IT Consultant for a 12 month contract in North York.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with new vendor solution, project teams, solution architects, ITS, LTC IAST staff and third parties engaged to facilitate agreement on and acceptance of the solution for any technical issues or enhancements
  • Provide technical support coordination for QA and UAT testing, including engagement of existing support teams
  • Provide support for cloud pipeline configuration, management, and deployment support
  • Contribute to the completion of deliverables (such as, solution concept document, infrastructure build, and requirements document) for solution support and Maintenance activities
  • Lead the completion of the desktop package certification and installation
  • Lead the maintenance of environment readiness (HW, Security Patching, SW, NSG’s/Network, VPN, VDI access for Vendor and internal teams)
  • Completion of all connections to all non-core and/or legacy components identified for the solution Maintenance and Support requirements
  • Provide technical expertise in the release and deployment management, change management, problem and incident management, service level management, environment greening, and service transition from project team to operations team and related processes on-going
  • Provide Technical expertise in the management of changes from agreed scope, schedule or quality for infrastructure, network, and access updates through Change request process – provide technical assistance in the issuance of change requests and management approvals
  • Technical oversight of code/package drops and implementations into QA/UAT/Production Environments
  • Provide Technical expertise and necessary activities in the management of the Hardware/Peripherals and Software Inventory to optimize the Azure hosting costs, (such as physical and virtual servers, network assets, software licenses)
  • Proactively identify risks related to technical solutions and propose mitigation plans. Provide technical expertise in the follow ups on risk mitigations strategy and issues/ actions execution
  • Provide technical expertise in the completion of client-side elements of the solution, such as desktop package certification and installation and peripherals acquisition and setup
  • Technical Leadership, coordination, and facilitation as required for the Maintenance and Support tasks
  • Works in partnership with clients, advising them on information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems, work to improve structure and efficiency of an organization’s I&IT systems
  • The I&IT Consultant may be used to provide strategic guidance to organizations with regard to Information Management & IT technology, IT infrastructures and the enablement of major business processes through enhancements to IT
  • Provides subject matter expertise in their field and highly expert technical assistance

Requirements:

  • Experience leading and conducting business analysis to assess client’s business problems/opportunities and document business requirements
  • Understanding of different software development methodologies (waterfall, iterative & incremental, agile)
  • Working experience with modeling tools like Power Designer & Visio
  • Experience with .NET technologies and tools (e.g., Visual Studio, TFS, Microsoft SQL Management Studio, etc.)
  • Experience with service management tools (e.g., eSMT, SODO, etc.)
  • Experience with troubleshooting application, data and technology issues
  • Experience with effective stakeholder management through facilitation of workshops, communication, negotiation & consensus building
