The Intermediate Process Engineer is a strategic professional that will focus on managing work related to reporting and analytic process engineering to identify opportunities to build efficiencies, streamline processes, metrics, integration and deliver results across the USPB’s Process Excellence (PE) team. These capabilities ensure our team successfully develops, implements, and maintains effective and efficient reporting, metadata analytics, and data quality models. These models enables us to engage and support our clients to successfully manage and comply with the CEAM Taxonomy and Process Owner requirements and processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Owns work assigned or specific workstream within the team, leveraging expertise to inspire a sense of shared purpose within the team
  • Create reports and metadata analytics to support CEAM and Process Owners in USPB and utilize enterprise tools (e.g. Tableau, MicroStrategy, JIRA)
  • Implement data quality processes for data-driven decision-making used in Investment Requests and CEAM processes aligned to Citi EDO Standards
  • Partner with Enterprise Gold Source data providers, ensuring consistent data availability across USPB and other businesses. Update transmission channels and APIs to deter breaks or data loss
  • Review existing processes for improvements or automations and incorporate lean and quality methodologies that increase efficiencies and data quality across USPB Process Owner and CEAM processes
  • Possess the knowledge, skills and experience to be able to recognize when problems surface or potential problems are looming. Diagnose, plan, mitigate, remediate, or escalate risks before they become issues
  • Applies a proactive approach in routinely tracking the assigned work’s progress against the defined goals
  • Communicates to all concerned parties the milestones, status updates, as well as any existing or potential escalation issues
  • Analyze processes and build workflows to understand value chain, input/output, to improve and/or automate business performance
  • Utilize business process reengineering techniques, model business processes, and conduct data analysis to examine end-to-end business processes to improve efficiency and operations
  • Monitor key performance indicators, determine gaps in performance metrics, and recommend change management techniques for quality improvements
  • Identify, document, and understand impacts, dependencies, and key stakeholders
  • Provide thought leadership and innovative solutions to evolve Citi's USPB Process Excellence (PE) team
  • Assess and mitigate risks in business decisions, prioritizing the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets
  • Ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and policies, applying ethical judgment and escalating control issues with transparency

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in process engineering
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Well-versed in a range of problem-solving approaches and capable of optimizing techniques to yield the best results
  • Experience with process engineering, compliance, change management, governance processes, Risk and Control, and building capabilities aligned with business outcomes
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, handle ambiguity, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, solve problems, and demonstrate resilience
  • Broad understanding of business practices with strong technology, data management, organization, prioritization, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Tableau, MicroStrategy, Power Query, SharePoint, and MS Office Suite is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent work experience
