Job Responsibility:

  • Process refund and credit requests promptly in accordance with regulatory requirements and Air Canada policies
  • Apply established procedures, training materials, and reference documents to complete refund and credit functions accurately
  • Determine refund/credit eligibility using manuals, tariffs, fare rules, and pricing resources
  • Review customer requests and conduct research to provide accurate and appropriate responses
  • Apply relevant policies and fare rules to issue correct refunds or decline ineligible requests
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments and external partners
  • Communicate with customers via email and telephone in a professional and service-oriented manner

  • Experience in the airline or travel industry
  • Knowledge of ticketing, fares, fare rules, and taxation (asset)
  • Tariff training
  • Familiarity with airline and city codes
  • Experience with GDS or reservation systems
  • Ability to represent the airline with professionalism, representing the best of the Air Canada brand
  • Minimum one (1) year office experience
  • Accounting knowledge, an asset
